HOOP CONVERGENCE 2008

was an incredibly inspiring 5 day retreat held in Carrboro and Efland, NC. This gathering was awing in terms of hoop skills, the spirit of sharing and community building.  The idea of bringing hoopers together has been around for some time, but this was the first event of its kind.  Hoop Convergence brought together teachers and performers to lead workshops and presentations on a variety of themes related to the hoop movement.  Some of the teachers and classes were specifically requested by members of the Hoop Convergence tribe and others wrote in with surprisingly creative and enlightening proposals.  It was beautiful that so many folks shared their skills so freely.  I have never been so inspired by a group of peers.  Thank you to everyone who taught, danced, traveled, inspired, played, assisted, learned, shared.
